The Los Angeles Lakers rediscovered their rhythm Saturday night, cruising past the Golden State Warriors 129-101 at Chase Center to halt a three-game losing streak.
Doncic led the way with 26 points, eight assists and six rebounds in just 29 minutes, delivering a poised performance on his birthday. LeBron James added 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while also knocking down the 1,000th three-pointer of his career. Austin Reaves chipped in 18 points as the Lakers produced one of their most complete efforts since the All-Star break.
Los Angeles (35-24) wasted no time taking control, building a 17-point lead in the first quarter and stretching it to 30 by the third. The team shot an efficient 53% from the field and 46% from beyond the arc, showcasing improved ball movement and offensive flow.
Head coach JJ Redick praised the team’s focus and execution, calling it their most sustained performance in recent weeks. After struggling with consistency and lineup disruptions, the Lakers emphasized “togetherness” and attention to detail on both ends of the floor.
The Warriors (31-29), playing without Stephen Curry, were unable to keep pace. Golden State also missed key contributors, and the Lakers capitalized, turning the matchup into a one-sided affair early.
The win moves Los Angeles to 2-3 since the All-Star break and keeps them firmly in the Western Conference playoff race. With a matchup against Sacramento looming, the Lakers hope this dominant outing signals a return to form at a critical stretch of the season.
