Maya Hawke has officially said “I do.” The Stranger Things star married singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson in a surprise Valentine’s Day ceremony on Feb. 14, surrounded by close family and friends.

The intimate celebration brought together some familiar faces. Hawke’s parents, actors Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, were in attendance, along with her brother, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke. The event also turned into a mini Stranger Things reunion, with castmates Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery there to celebrate the couple.

For the ceremony, Hawke wore a white wedding dress paired with an oversized, feathery winter coat, while Hutson chose a classic tuxedo. Thurman arrived in a light blue gown, and Ethan Hawke kept it simple in an all-black look.

The wedding comes nearly a year after Hutson publicly referred to Hawke as his fiancée in a March 2025 interview. Engagement rumors had been circulating even earlier, when Hawke was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Manhattan in April. Later that month, the couple made their red carpet debut together at the New York opening of John Proctor Is the Villain, where Hawke showed support for Sadie Sink.

Hawke and Hutson first met through music. The New York–based artist opened for Phoebe Bridgers on tour from 2022 to 2023 and later appeared on Hawke’s 2024 album, Chaos Angel. Over time, the pair began sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media, including Valentine’s Day posts and candid travel photos.

In a past interview on The Zach Sang Show, Hawke described the joy of dating a close friend, saying it was meaningful to be with someone who truly understands her. Now, that friendship has grown into marriage — sealed on the most romantic day of the year.
