Nikola Jokic delivered another MVP-level performance, leading the Denver Nuggets to a narrow 125-123 win over the Phoenix Suns in a dramatic finish Tuesday night.
Jokic recorded 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists, securing his league-leading 29th triple-double of the season. His biggest moment came in the final seconds, knocking down a clutch 12-foot jumper with just 11.5 seconds remaining to put Denver ahead for good.
The Suns had a chance to steal the game late. Devin Booker tied the score at 123 with a tough shot in the lane and later attempted a game-winning three-pointer, but the shot bounced off the rim.
Phoenix had rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final minutes, showing resilience after trailing 117-109 with just over three minutes left. Booker finished with 22 points and eight assists, helping fuel the comeback effort.
Despite battling injuries for much of the season, Denver appears to be regaining form. Jamal Murray contributed 21 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 18 off the bench, providing key support behind Jokic’s all-around dominance.
The game remained tight throughout the second half, with Phoenix closing the gap late in the third quarter thanks to strong perimeter shooting. However, Jokic’s control of the game—both as a scorer and playmaker—proved to be the difference.
With the win, Denver has now taken six of its last eight games and continues to push for a higher playoff position in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Suns’ struggles continue, having lost six of their last seven, putting them at risk of falling deeper into the play-in race.
As the regular season winds down, Jokic’s consistency and clutch performances are keeping the Nuggets firmly in contention—and reminding everyone why he remains one of the league’s most dominant forces.
