Mukta Arts opens premium design school in India with ECV France

ecvMukta Arts said its subsidiary Whistling Woods International Ltd has opened its 8th school — Whistling Woods International School of Design — in association with ECV, a design school in France. The École de communication visuelle or ECV is a French private design school.

The India school offers a Bachelor’s degree in visual communication and design, a three year programme, divided into six semesters.

“The idea behind the school is to focus on making the students industry- ready through a style of training, which allows them to pursue further education at ECV, France,” said the company.

This is India’s first full-time degree program in visual & communication design in association with The Tata Institute of Social Science, the company said.

The first year of the programme will provide basics of art, aesthetics, drawing, multimedia, colour theory, and design principles.

Students will be introduced to detailed areas of skill development such as corporate design, typography, art direction, web design, design processes, and publishing design in the second year.

Mukta Arts is an Indian film production company headquartered in Mumbai, India. It operates as an entertainment company that primarily produces motion pictures.

The company is also involved in the production, distribution, and exhibition of films, serials and entertainment software; equipment hiring; and generation and distribution of contents for the entertainment industry.

ECV has a presence in 5 cities across France, along-with an active international network across 60 organisations.
It offers undergraduate full-time courses over five years in the areas of graphic design, communication design, interaction design, and computer animation.
