Renault launched the upgraded version of its entry-level hatchback KWID today at a price of Rs 3.95 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. The price of the 1 liter variant is only Rs 22,000 above the 800CC model.
KWID SCe will inly be available only in full option of RXT and RXT (Option).
The 1000cc model will be physically identical with the 800 cc version and will remain as one of the most spacious cars in the entry-level space.
The 800cc model was launched late last year and has emerged as a strong contender to the No 1, Maruti Suzuki Alto, due to its bigger size and better looks.
According to Renault, 50% of the buyers for KWID are first time buyers. 65% are salaried employees.
The KWID 800cc has touched 1,65,000 bookings and has almost touched 1,00,000 deliveries to-date, said the company.
The company said that 21,000 plus e-commerce transaction have taken place for its cars.
