Maruti Suzuki launches limited edition Swift model @ Rs 5.94 lakhs in India

swiftMaruti Suzuki, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, launched the Swift Deca a limited edition model of its hatchback model Swift at a starting pirce of Rs 5.94 lakhs in India.

The model comes in two variants Swift Deca Edition VXi and Swift Deca Edition VDi adn comes in two colours- bright red and pearl white.

The Swift Deca Edition VXi is priced at Rs 5.94 lakhs whereas the Swift Deca Edition VDi is priced at Rs 6.86 lakhs.

The features for the Deca variant include football themed seat covers and interior styling kit, touch screen multimedia system with Bluetooth, exterior styling kit, sporty body graphics.

R S Kalsi, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales said, “Swift is a sporty, stylish and fun to drive car. Since its launch, it has been one of the best performers in our portfolio and helped us strengthen leadership in premium hatchback segment. Over the years, the Swift has evolved in features, looks and technology, often defining the changes in aspiration and preferences of Indian car customers. Swift Deca carries forward the sportiness and performance quotient associated with the brand.”

The limited edition launch is to celebrates the charm of football’s most flamboyant players doning the number 10 jersey and the success of these high performers, said the company.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in India in May 2005 with a 1.3-litre petrol engine.

Maruti introduced the Swift with a 1.3 litre DDiS engine in 2007.  I

The Swift is one of the bestseller hatchbacks of the company competing with Hyundai i20, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo.

13934 units were sold in the first quarter this year thereby beating its competitors.
