Andheri Dahisar Mumbai Metro construction tender invited

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority has invited e-tenders for designing and constructing an elevated viaduct and 16 stations on the Andheri East to Dahisar East on the Mumbai Western Line.

The phase, called the Metro-7 corridor, will be constructed in three separate packages and would enable a person starting from Dahisar in the north west to travel to Ghatkopar on the central line using the metro alone.

The three winning bidders will design and construct the entire corridor and 16 stations in 30 months.

The first package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and five elevated stations – namely – Andheri East, Shankarwadi, JVLR Junction, Mahanand and new Ashok Nagar.

The second package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and six elevated stations – namely – Aarey, Dindoshi, Pathan Wadi, Pushpa Park, Bandongri and Mahindra & Mahindra.

The third package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and five elevated stations – namely – Magathane, Devipada, National Park, Ovaripada and Dahisar (E).

The tender documents will be available on MMRDA’s website from December 21, 2015 to January 21, 2016 up to 6 pm. The cost of the tender document is a non-refundable Rs 1 lakh.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on January 7, 2016 at 11 am; the last date for submission of tender documents is February 1, 2016 up to 6 pm, the MMRDA said.

MMRDA is the primary infrastructure development agency for the greater Mumbai region.

The current Mumbai Metro line is operated by Reliance Infrastructure, an Anil Ambani group company.
