Girl’s body found in drain near CM house in Lucknow

cmThe body of a student missing for five days has been found in a ditch not far from the Chief Minister’s bungalow in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The girl, who was studying in 12th standard in city school, had been reported missing and an FIR had been filed in Janakipuram police station in Lucknow.

Prima facie, the matter is one of rape, according to the police.

The body has been identified by the relatives of the victim.

The area where the body has been discovered is a high-security zone, which makes the incident extraordinary. Any suspicious vehicles moving the area is usually flagged down and subjected to questioning.

The body was discovered in the morning and investigations are on.
