The latest entry-level LTE phone, Coolpad Dazen 1, will go on flash sale on Snapdeal tomorrow, offering an alternative to those who have not been lucky enough to buy phones like Yu Yuphoria and Lenovo A6000 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi 2.
Though the name Coolpad may be new, the phone company definitely is not. Coolpad has been a big supplier of phones to many Indian brands, and chances are that many of the readers may have already used one.
As far as Coolpad Dazen 1 is concerned, it’s very comparable to the Yu Yuphoria and the Lenovo A6000 Plus.
All three phones come with 2 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 410 LTE-enabled chipset and 5-inch, 720p LCD display. The only shortcoming, as far as the Dazen 1 is concerned, is in the internal memory.
While both Yu Yuphoria and the Lenovo A6000 Plus come with 16 GB of interal memory, the Coolpad model comes with only 8 GB.
However, the Lenovo A6000 Plus also costs Rs 500 more, or Rs 7,499, while the other two phones, including the newcomer, cost only Rs 6,999.
Again, while the A6000 Plus has a 2 MP camera at the front, both the Dazen and Yuphoria have 5 MP shooters at the front. All three have 8 MP cameras at the back.
In other words, there’s very little to set these three apart.
In terms of value, the Yu Yuphoria definitely scores the highest. In terms of brand, the Lenovo model ranks highest, and perhaps, in terms of availability, the Dazen 1 is likely to be the one on top.
