List of Cities where Airtel 4G is available

airtel-4g-citiesBharti Airtel, India’s largest telecom provider, today launched 4G in another 296 cities, adding to the nearly three dozen or so places where it was already available.

The total number of cities with Airtel 4G is now above 300.

These cities are spread over 12 circles where Airtel has 4G spectrum.

These telecom circles, starting from the South, are Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Mumbai, Orissa, Kolkata (not West Bengal), Haryana, Delhi, Punjab and the North East.

The full list of cities where Airtel 4G has been launched is still being put together by us.

Separately, Vodafone today cut its 3G data rates by half in its most important market of Mumbai.

Meanwhile, here are some of the cities where we know Airtel has 4G.

REQUEST: If you are in one of the 12 states where Airtel has announced the start of 4G services, and you want to test for 4G signals, please put your phone on LTE mode and do a manual search for operators. Preferably this should be done outside the house. If you find a signal, and your town is non in the list, please use the comment section to let us know.

(This list will be updated).

UPDATE: The list of cities has become much longer than we can compile. We request readers to search for the Airtel 4G network using their 4G cell phones and enter the name of the city in the comments section if they find a network..
