TCL, one of the world’s top TV brands, has entered India with a bang, launching India’s cheapest 4K UHD TV at just Rs 31,990.

The TCL 43-inch P1 Ultra HD TV is cheaper by nearly Rs 10,000 compared to Micromax 42C0050UHD, currently the most attractive value-for-money UHD TV in India. The Micromax model is priced at Rs 41,898.

The TCL 43-inch P1, as the name implies, is also slightly bigger (43 in vs 42 in for Micromax) despite costing less. The TV is available only on Amazon.in.

tcl-562TCL also launched three full-HD TVs with sizes 32 inch, 40 inch and 48 inch.

The smallest one, 32-inch D2900, is priced at Rs 13,990 — making it one of the cheapest LED TVs from any big brand in India.

Surpisingly, the TVs will be brought in fully assembled into India, which increases the duties and taxes that the company has to pay. TCL said it is doing so to ensure perfect quality.

“We highly value the Indian market and expect to bring our premium products and services to the Indian consumers. In order to guarantee the best product quality, TCL will export complete TV sets to India even though it means higher cost compared with local assembly,” said Bobbie Zhang, General Manager of Strategic Markets Sales Center.

“The next generation TV Series which aims to bring revolutionary technology will be made available on pre-booking and registration commences from July 28, 2016.”
