WATCH LIVE: Lenovo K6 Power launch in India at 3 PM today

Flipkart and Lenovo are launching their latest mid-range smartphone, the K6 Power, in India today at 3 PM.

The live stream of the even is available on Youtube (see below).

It remains to be seen what specifications of the K6 Power are introduced in India.

Globally, it is available in 3G and 4GB versions.

Given that the Coolpad Note5 is available at Rs 10,990 and comes with 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 616 chipset. The K6 Power is built around the Snapdragon 430 chipset.

The display is a 5-inch full-HD affair, while the processor is very similar to what you have been seeing in India for the last 1.5 years.

The maximum LTE download speed remains at 150 Mbps, the same speed that the very first 4G models came with almost two years ago.

The only small addition is support for 10+10 carrier aggregation. However, given that most 4G operators use a block size of 20 or 30 MHz in India, this is unlikely to make much of a difference.

The core design in the processor is Cortex A53, the same design that can be found inside Desire 820 — launched in September 2014.

Internal storage of the Lenovo K6 Power varies from 16 GB of 32 GB, whilethe back camera is of 16 MP and the front shooter is of 8 MP resolution.

The most crucial factor will be price. If the 5-inch device is priced at 7,999 or below, it stands a chance, and if the price is above that, it will find it hard to differentiate itself among a clutch of similarly speced devices in the market.
