Among the new phones launching and available in India next week are the Huawei Ascend G630, Videocon Infinium quad-core 4.7 inch and the Karbonn Titanium S4 plus.
Huawei Ascend G630
Huawei, a Chinese brand known for its value offerings, will launch a mid-range quad-core phone known as the Huawei Ascend G630 next week in India, with a price tag of around Rs 8,990.
The Ascend G630 will compete in the mid-range space with the likes of the Moto G, which is priced at Rs 13,000, Canvas Nitro, priced Rs 12,000.
The G630 comes with a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor 1 GB of RAM and a 720p 5-inch display. The phone will be among the cheapest 5-inch Android phones with an HD display in India.
Cons – Among factors to watch out for are the low built-in memory (which can be enhanced with an external card). Also note that the Android version is 4.3, Jelly Bean. But still, for sheer value for money, the G630 is unbeatable in India right now.
LG G3 Stylus, price Rs 21,000
The G3 Stylus, despite the name, is not really a high end device, but a mid-range stylus phone that seems to be aimed at students and others who want a stylus phone at an affordable price. The phone comes with a 13 MP camera, a 5.5 inch display and a quad-core processor. More details here.
Videocon Infinium 4.7 inch, price ~ Rs 9,990
Videocon Mobile will launch the 4.7 inch version of its recently launched Infinium Android phone next week in India with a price tag of Rs 9,990.
The five-inch version of the Infinium phone will come with 1 GB of RAM (compared to 512 MB in the 4-inch version) and a quad-core processor and a 2 Ah battery.
Videocon is targeting the holiday sales with the phone.
Karbonn Titanium S4 Plus, price ~ Rs 4,500
We expect the Titanium S4 Plus to sport a 4 inch display, 512 MB of RAM and come with Android KitKat 4.4.
The phone is likely to appeal to the entry level segment.
