Inox Wind is one of India's largest wind equipment makers\n\n\n\nInox Wind said it has received a contract from Adani Green Energy to build a 501.6 MW wind power project in Kutch District in Gujarat.\n\n\n\nThe financial details of the contract were not revealed.\n\n\n\nAdani Green Energy, a subsidiary of the Ahmedabad-based Adani Group, won the projects under the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) auctions.\n\n\n\nInox Wind said it will deploy a 152 units of 145-meter diameter, 3.3 MW wind turbines at a height of 100 to 120 meters for the project. \n\n\n\nInox said these turbines in the project will be among the largest used in India, as well as among the highest rated in terms of power generation. Typical wind power turbines generate between 1 to 2 MW of power. \n\n\n\nThe deployment has to be completed in 15 months. Noida-based Inox Wind ltd is a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited.\n\n\n\nBesides carrying out projects for others, Inox Wind also has its own portfolio of wind power projects. \n\n\n\nThe company manufactures most of the turbines and equipments it needs. \n\n\n\nIt has manufacturing plants in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. \n\n\n\nThe plant near Ahmedabad and Barwani manufacture blades and towers, while hubs and casings are manufactured at at Una in Himachal Pradesh. \n\n\n\nEvery year, the company can manufacture equipment to produce 1,600 MW of solar power. \n\n\n\nAdani Green Energy is one of India\u2019s largest independent power producer of Renewable Energy.\n\n\n\nThe company has a renewable portfolio exceeding 2.2 GW. It has a target of increasing its renewable energy portfolio to about 10 GW by 2021.
